6.5x47 Lapua trim length

My once fired cases measure 1.831". If 47mm is max case length, is 1.840"- .010 under max, the correct trim length? 47mm x .03937" =1.850" - .010 = 1.840"

Depends on what the reamer spec was that cut the chamber but I think you are safe at 1.840.

The reamer print I have is longer than that by .020'', but that is my print and yours may very....

1.843 case trim length 6.5x47 Lapua, or just pick the shortest case out of your last batch shot (second loading) and use this number as base to trim!

As above, it depends on your chamber but also getting all the cases to the same length. One of these might be useful too http://www.sinclairintl.com/.aspx/pid=32925/Product/Sinclair_Chamber_Length_Gage

Agree with DennisH, 1.843 trim length (from Lapua website). But guess it depends on how your chamber is cut.
cheers

but also getting all the cases to the same length

The above is the most important part!

I never realized how a few thousandths made a hugh pressure difference when shooting! I have probably lost a match or two over a few thousandths!
