6.5x47 Lapua question

I am shooting a 6.5x47 L through a 22" barrel and was thinking about trying a quicker powder for more FPS. I was getting good FPS with RL-15 and 123 Scenars, right at 2925 FPS when seated at the lands. I found out the 123s like to a 10K jump so my FPS dropped off to 2835ish. I was thinking about trying H4895 for more FPS and better temp stability. Any other powders you all would recommend? Please don't say Varget, I can't seem to find any, and I still think it would be too slow with the short barrel.

Mitch, Varget is marginally faster than RL15 and H4895 is marginally faster than Varget. I think it would be worth a try and probably do what you want. Start off with a safe load and work your way up. I cant help you out with a load for this powder as I use 38.5gr of Varget with 139gr projectiles.

If I were you I would be tempted to try IMR8208XBR, about the same burn rate as H4895 and it's supposed to have the temperature stability that you are looking for!

You are probably right on target, but where would I find sed powder. I'm just the average guy, I'm sure most competing scope this up really quick.

Try third generation shooting supply, graf & sons, powder valley, brunos, midway USA, etc. They are bound to have it sooner or later.
