what powder would you try? My first thought here is H4350

My first thought also.... my 3 GO to powders are H4350 ....RL 15 ...and Varget.

Depends ....

Some 6.5X47Ls perform brilliantly with VarGet and Re15 under 120-130gn class bullets. Others (including mine) just don't get on with them or similar burning rate powders.

The others prefer a slower burner in the 4350 class in which case start out with H4350 and you'll likely not have to look any further. Viht N150/550 often work well too in rifles with this taste in propellants which includes my smokepole.

As to which you have - well, you won't know until you try them.
