6.5x47 Lapua freebore for Berger 130gr. VLD

Going with a no turn neck reamer to use the Berger 130 VLD exclusively. Would like the bearing surface boat tail junction to fall at the case neck shoulder junction. So what freebore to request.
Also reamer manufacturer recommendations please.

I have no clue what I am doing, but fortunately had a lot of help with all my recent custom builds. All the reamers where Pacific Tool and Die. My 6.5x47 Lapua is set up as a no-turn neck with freebore for 129/130 projectiles. Not sure how much difference it will make between the Hybrids and the VLDs, but since I am new to this, I am starting out with Hybrids for ease of load work up, and also have 123 Grain Lapua Senar-Ls, which I will start with and move to the 129/130s with a little throat wear. I know this does not really answer your question and again I am not the one to do it, but if you send me your E-mail address (E-mail to rkittine at sign aol dot com) I will send you my reamer print.

Dave Kiff seems to be the guy to talk to at PTD, and he was very helpful in coming up with the reamers I wanted and I am sure he will do the same for you or your gun smith. Kelly and Eileen in the sales department were great too.

Watch Erik's video and then send the dummy round to JGS or a reamer manufacture of your choice. I have been happy with the reamers JGS have ground for me.

Tim Claunch did mine and I wanted it setup for 140 Hybirds and he did but the 130 VLDs fit the same freebore very well,,I want to say it was .187 but I may not remember right,,if he doesnt see this I will ask him,,

it worked well for all bullets I used from 123 Scenars to the 140 Hybirds and fit in AI 308 mags

I'm out of state right now and do not have my reamer available, but I do think its a .135"FB for 130gr vlds. It also shoots the 120's and 123's.

.140 works for me with 130s & 140 Berger VLDs. Photo is .010 jam with the 130.

In reviewing my correspondence with Dick Kiff at PTD, my free bore was actually more for eventually shooting the 139 / 140 grainers, (starting out with 123 / 130) so Danny, the reamer print I sent you may not be best as the free bore is .167. Again, I am new to this and just learning.
