6.5x47 Brass for 600 & 1,000 Yard BR

I’m curious, what is the best quality brass for mid and long range BR in 6.5x47?

I have both Lapua and Peterson brass. The Peterson has handled more pressure without smearing brass on the bolt face and has shot smaller than the Lapua I have across 3 different barrels. Lapua hasn’t managed a group smaller than 4”, while Ive had Peterson get down to 3” at 1000yds.

Awesome, great info! I’ve shot Alpha and Lapua and have yet to see the Lapua prove better than alpha at 600 yards.

I can order Lapua and Alpha right now in stock, have not checked for Peterson, I’m not sure what availability issues you’re referring to….it’s abundant.

Things are silent on this thread, but a lot of likes on the post saying Peterson shot better than lapua…, no word on alpha, I’ve shot it and have my opinion….if this were a 6mm thread it’d be miles long

I use Lapua brass in my 6.5x47 and I have been more than satisfied with the consistency and durability. You won't be making a mistake if you go with Lapua. I have no direct experience with Alpha or Peterson in this chambering, but I've been quite happy with their offerings in other chamberings.

I've used Peterson and Lapua, and found Peterson more consistent with the 6.5x47, but not so with the 6.5x284.
Just my opinion on my reloads @ 600yds

I have always used Lapua and retire mine after 25 firings. No telling how long they would go but I figure that's far enough! I have never tried the others.

That's what I found so I bought 500 pieces which should last a couple of rifles and handgun hunter.
