Not much info to go on. The first thing you need to decide is what bullet you want to shoot at what velocity. Then you can determine what length barrel you need to get there. A 28 inch blank will probably finish at no more than 27 inches. With most bullets you should be able to easily reach 3000 fps plus or minus which is all you need for 600 yards. Sometimes too long a barrel can be a disadvantage. For example, if you want bullet X to be going XXXX fps and you can only do that in a 30 inch barrel by reducing the load, you might be better off with a 28 inch barrel and full loads.

Cheechako - see - now that's why I read this forum. Little tidbits of info that I can pick up, add to my disorganized library of info, and possibly use someday.

we think alike che :) ...now anyone figured out neck tension? 5 thou i'm thinking. should work. whos working on load's now ??
