6.5x300 Imp RSAUM barrel – FREE for local pickup, or shipped and insured at the new owner’s expense
Specs/info:
Bartlein (.264 groove/.256 bore) barrel - chambered in (and marked as) “6.5mm-300 RSAUM Improved, tight neck (.292)”, 31 7/8" finished length, 416R SS, 13# 14 oz; less than 200 rds thru it.
Muzzle threaded for a Vais muzzle brake (thread spec unrecalled), brake not included.
Purchased new and chambered and fitted in 2010 by MT Guns, Santa Barbara, CA (the sole US distributor for Barnard actions at that time) to a then-new Barnard Model P action (1.062x16 thread, 26mm long tenon)
Salt bath nitrided (Melonite/Isonite QPQ) inside and out, masked crown, flat black (any blue coloration in pics is just how they came out).
Ammo test (dummy) cartridges (2) included; reamer and gauges custom from PTG, no longer have them; unable to find the drawing or invoice, contact PTG.
Depending on the tooling used, and the experience and skill of the gunsmith, this barrel may NOT be able to be parted off, rechambered, or rethreaded without damage to the barrel and/or tooling. NO representation is made as to the appropriateness of this barrel for the new owner’s use/application.
Available as-is, where-is, in Redondo Beach, CA 90277. Shipping (including insurance) available, pre-paid, at the new owner’s expense. [In shipping tube – 37.5” long, 2.5" diameter round tube (7” girth), 14# 15 oz.]
