6.5X284 Norma Brass Questions

What should the neck thickness on this Norma brass be? I bought some recently at a gun show that looked new and unfired, but has a neck wall thickness of ~.012. Have these been turned or is that normal for Norma brass? They really don't look like they've been turned. Are they OK for a standard barrel? I don't have a 6.5 bullet to seat and get a total neck measurement, but my math tells me that this would be about a .288 neck. Thanks.

I don't know for sure but .012 seems thin to me. I thought norma was around .016-.018 before it's turned???

It is typically .015-.0156". Even after expanding to 7mm, I still need to turn quite a bit to get to .012".

Should I shop for someone with a reamer with a tight neck or is the .012" too thin to work with? Thanks.

I wouldn't let some brass dictate what chamber you choose. Make that decision based on your needs and preference. If the brass doesn't match your decision, sell it and get other brass.
