6.5x284 ejection issues

, I just completed my Savage long action from a 112bvss, I rebarreled it to a 6.5x284, replaced the bolthead to accommodate the 6.5 x 284 case, when I open the bolt, I have to tinker with the case to get it out, the case seems to hit the bottom part of the port, due to the case will not come out on an upward angle, when I have the bolt in my hand the case will come out easily, if you tip the case directly inline with the ejector, but in the action the case doesn't have this clearance.what did you do to remedy this situation. I tried it both ways with and without the plunger. anyone have this same issue.

Chet:

Forgive me if I'm wrong, but the 110 and 112 are basically the same...

This isn't going to be of much help, but I have a savage 110 action, barreled in 6.5-284, and have no ejection issues.,It does not throw the case out because I had the tension on the plunger spring lightened up.) The case extracts, and simply sticks up out of the port a little bit, and then I can grab it. The angle of ejection looks good, and I have not had any trouble with the case hitting the port, or having any other type of clearance issues.

Maybe try different spring rates for the plunger, and see if it improves/gets worse???,I have no idea if that would do anything... just a thought)

sounds like you have a left handed bolt head upsided down in your right handed rifle. Is the ejector pin on the bottom or the top?
