6.5x284 Bushing Die To Make 6mmx284 ?

Building a 6x284 N and have the Redding 6.5x284 type S full length bushing die already, can I just neck down the 6.5 brass in a couple steps using this die or do I need to get the 6x284 full length die ? I have to throw non lead at animals so I'm building a 6 twist 6mm barreled rifle to shoot the 110 grain non lead Hammer Hunter, it's a long bullet and needs the 6 twist to stabilize it. It took a while but I finally found someone who would make it in less than a year. Planning on running H1000 due to its temp stability in hot weather, any load data or experience with this cartridge appreciated.

The 6.5-284 die will work just fine. The type S is just what you need. You will be fine.

When you neck it down, it's possible you will have to turn the necks, depending on your chamber neck. A couple of smaller bushing in your 6.5-284 will work for you, but may not size all the neck, leaving you a bit of false shoulder, not at all bad for forming.

I've also used FL dies and generic neck sizing dies to neck down from the parent case. Just depends on what I have handy.

Yes, I have the S bushing die and i will do it in a couple steps, probably anneal it 1st.
