Sounds good, thanks for the input. I’ll be looking at trying RL-16, H4350 or V555. Have already used Retumbo, H4831 & V565 with really good success in other rifles in the 6.5PRC. If it doesn’t burn the barrel out too fast I’ll be interested to see what it’ll do!I did. Found that the 156 EOL's worked best with H1000. The thing was a laser until the barrel started to carbon up about half way through a string of 22 rounds. By the end of the string it was MOA. Clean the barrel and it was back to 1/4 MOA for another half a string. I gave up on it but may go back to it and try different powders. I really like the caliber but H1000 was too dirty for F Class. It could have been the barrel as well. I want to play with it some more.

In the 90s before vld bullets,I had a 6.5-280ai.tn built for fun matches against hunter bench guns at 1/4mi ie qt oil jugs. I found h870 60.0grn w a 140 smk was good.ive brought it out and loaded some 130 nos match to try, have 140s also. For it's day it has a 30 in ss hart w 1-9 twist...I also have h1000, and a keg of h5010 to try,as well as 4831.I did. Found that the 156 EOL's worked best with H1000. I found that the 140 berger hybrids did not perform as well as the heavier bullets like the 147 hornady's and the 156 bergers EOL's. The hornady's were stripping jackets so they were a no go. The 156 berger EOL's shot great. When I revist the caliber I'll try 4831, 4350 and RL 16 if I can find it.In the 90s before vld bullets,I had a 6.5-280ai.tn built for fun matches against hunter bench guns at 1/4mi ie qt oil jugs. I only have maybe 200rds down the barrel, and seeing that I'm kinda part of a small cult, any advice, info etc would be welcome.

What did you use to clean the barrel during a match?I did. Found that the 156 EOL's worked best with H1000.
