6.5mm-06AI velocity and case capacity

I am toying with a new build and would like to know what the case capacity of the various 6mm wildcats are, especially the 6mm-06 Ackley. What velocity could one expect from a 24" barrel with 120 grain bullets? I don't know whether to stick with my trusty 270 or to try something new. My Model 70 270 has a million rounds down the tube but still shoots the 120 grain triple shocks less than 1moa. Accuracy has fallen off with 130 grain bullets so it is only a matter of time before I need to retire the barrel. Thanks. Tom

6mm-06AI velocity and case capacity

120 grainers? You surely mean "6.5-06AI". Very good wildcat. Use .25-06 brass if you don't want to trim .270 or .280 cases to 2.500". From a 24" tube expect no more than 3100 fps with a 140 grainer and 3200 with 120-123 grainers. You'll experience some blast & flash, though.
