6.5CM deer loads with 129 Interlocks. What powder?

My dad bought a henry lever action in 6.5 creedmore. Cant find factory ammo anywhere, but we were able to find brass amd 129 hornady interlocks which should suffice. It seems most are shooting H4350 but I dont have any. I do have quite a few other powders in that range after loading 270w, 308w and 7 mag for years. I also have some superformance gathering dust. Any suggestions? Most discussion seems to involve h4350 and or heavier bullets that he will be shooting.

A lever action in 6.5 Creedmoor ????? You sure about that ?........I stand corrected...I see Henry came out with a clone of the Browning BLR NICE.

Do you have a Hornady reloading manual? On page 320 there is a whole list of powders for that bullet in 6.5 CM.

I had the same reaction when they first came out!! Looks like a nice deer rifle though. We will see how it shoots.

Hornady super performance 120 grain GMX shoots great in my Seekins PH1 also in my Christenson arms ridgeline, both are 6.5 cr.

Reloading manuals seem to be a thing of the past. Many prefer data from people they dont know on the internet
I am not asking for data so much as just a suggestion of a powder that someone has had good luck with as far as accuracy. There should be plenty of options in that burn range, but with the popularity of the 6.5cm there should also be alot of people who have been there. In this day and age I will take whatever suggestions someone has to hopefully avoid burning up more components than necessary.

It's not necessarily a manual vs online people. It's both.

If the range listed in a manual is 4 grains wide, and lots of people recommend something that's .5 grain wide, still well under the manual's max load, you now have a sweetspot to work around. It can be a time saver.

John, your IMR 4350 works well in 6.5 CM and 6.5x47 with many other 130 gr bullets, so it is well worth a try with your 129 Interlock.

The H4350 is known to have a very flat temp sensitivity, so it is more popular, but the IMR 4350 will also work fine. Just don't forget to account for large temp swings and you will probably never see the difference.

If you want better filtering on the responses, try listing the powders you have in hand that you want to try. Threads can saturate with powders you don't have or can't find these days.

Several powders work well with the Creed and 129s. It is about easier to say which ones won't work. I usually use the heavier bullets in my Creeds, and use the 129 in my .260s. I did get an extremely good load for the Creeds, with H4831sc, 45 grains, under the 129, for 2712 fps. Slow but extremely accurate.
