6.5cm- 130gn vs 140gn bullets

This should be a short thread. Which is a better choice for PRS competitions and why? Running with Berger 140’s now but it’s a pretty mild load 39.0 grains of H4350 getting around 2500fps. What do you like your velocity to be at?

Well, given that we all know the 6.5 CM's reputation for shooting like a laser, my velocity would be exactly 186,282 miles per second..LOL

Nevertheless, as I recall I was getting around 2950 fps with 130 gr VLD's and H4350. And of course, it shot like a laser.

In a 26" barrel I ran 140 hybrids at 2720 fps avg for best grouping at 300yds and best scores at 600yds compared to a higher 'node' I also tested. I was running RL-16 but also had similar results with H4350. I was using Lapua .308 Palma brass formed into Creedmoor. If you have a 24-26" barrel I think you are leaving a bit on the table at those velocities as you will still should get excellent grouping, low recoil and great barrel life running the 140 at the low 2700's.
