6.5 x 47 barrel length

I have a 6.5 x 47 with a 24" barrel and it shots great, thinking of building another with a 20" for hunting & shooting. Anyone use one at this length or shorter and what powders were you using.
Not worried about losing a little velocity. All imfo will be helpfull.

I have one with a 22" barrel. Shooting a 130 VLD, I can get about 2780fps with H4350 (jammed 0.015"), about 2860fps with RL-17 (jumped 0.050"). Accuracy about the same (very good). With the bullet jammed 0.015", the same charge of RL-17 got me 2935fps with RL-17, accuracy wasn't as good as with the bullet jumped.

my 6.5x47L should be ready any day, 22" Trueflight 1 in 8 twist #3 contour, 700 action... I thought about a 20" barrel, but didn't have enough courage to go for it. I can always get it shortened if the velocity is ok. I'd be happy with nhm16's velocities . Plan on using Varget to start with.
