6.5 wsm load help.

Just got my 6.5 wsm build scoped and shooting and was wondering what has been the go to powder for some of you guys. 26" 8twist shooting 140s is the plan. Started with a light retumbo load for the 270wsm, and have come up from there. Just wondering about any pitfalls need to watch for. Thanks. Scott.

Some guys have had good luck with slower powders but I never could get mine to shoot them have great accuracy and speed with RL-17 1-8 twist Lilja with 140 Vld's 3180fps

My 6.5WSM has a 30 inch Krieger 1 in 8 twist likes so far 140gr A Max's with 65.7 grs Retumbo. Fed Magnum Match primers it zips at just over 3300 FPS. 3.053OAL is at the lands and during testing the other day I put 3 in one ragged hole at 300 Meters ( 335yrds ) I have to load up some more and hopefully repeat that group size. Even .020 off the lands gave me a .810 group for 3 shots at 300 meters. It flattens the primers but the bolt opens easily. I noticed at over 66 grs the bolt started getting a little hard to open. I have also been working with some H 1000.
I am also only using .002 neck tension. I just turn the necks to clean them up.

My build is a tikka t3 lite, with a hawk hill custom barrel, the same profile as the factory barrel. But 26" long. Untrued action with factory stock and bedding. Just put it together for a lightweight hunting stick. 8.2Lbs with a leupold 8.5x25vari x lll. This thing is going to be a hammer. Almost boring as far as load development looks. It puts everything I've tried so far in the same general poi. Trying to find a max on the retumbo, loaded 66,67,68 gr last time out and it put all 3 in a dime group. I'm not going to waste much time on load development. Just shoot the guts outa it.

Defiance xm action with a 8tw Brux.
63.5gr of IMR 7828 and a 140 Berger. 3275fps and very accurate. Cci 250 primer and Norma brass.
