6.5 PRC Short barrel

A friend is looking to build a 6.5 PRC with a 20-22 in barrel for use with a suppressor. Anyone have experience/powder suggestions for this length barrel?

All the powders that work well in a 6.5 PRC with a longer barrel are going to be the same powders that work well with a shorter barrel. RL26, N565, H1000, IMR7828 with the 140+ weight bullets all work well.

6.5 PRC burn all powders fairly efficiently.

I have a 21 5/8” barrel on a 25prc(6.5prc necked down). 135 bergers with n565 and h1000 is working well. 2920-2960 fps with 58 grains of N565 and 2970FPS with 57 grains of H1000. This is with an ultra 9 gen 1 suppressor.

I had mine finished at 26"...kind of wish I would have had mine finished really short for my TBAC TB5.

I'm not getting any relevant speed increases shooting similar weights with the 26" that I wouldn't trade for weight savings

I own and shoot a 20 inch 6.5 PRC with great Sucess on game while using my Tbac Ultra 7 can the powder I’m currently using is StaBall HD so far it has worked well
