6.5 PRC Load Results - pick one

Hello,

I was convinced yesterday to shoot the Nightforce ELR match this weekend in WY. I shot a group yesterday with the load that worked reasonably well last year and was disappointed in it. This morning was really my only opportunity to try and adjust the load so I loaded three rounds of each charge at shot it at 810 yards in some pulsing full value winds of about 3-7 mph. Below is a spreadsheet of the results. I've never done much longer range load development, but I am thinking that the 55.7 grain load will give me the best results??? This is with 150 grain SMKs loaded to maximum magazine length (no idea of jump....I've never even checked), H1000 and GM215M primers in ADG brass. Any and all advice is appreciated. Thanks!

Did velocities change from last year ? Looks to me that your node is between 55.3 to 55.7. Try around 55.5.

I think between 56.1 and 56.5, after I saw there was 40+ inches of wind drift difference @3 and 7mph @810 yards with the 2938 load. If you weren't closely watching the wind, the horizontal spread # don't mean much. Minimize the vertical.
