6.5 load help

6.5 x 47 Lapua load data help needed please.
I want to get Circa 3000 fps from the heaviest bullet weight possible, it's to come out of a 24 inch tube with a 1in 8 twist rate, any help greatly appreciated.

With your restraints I would say your looking at no heavier than a 123 grain bullet and will be pushing the pressure limits of the cartridge. I would try RL17 or Vihtavuori N550 to get there. Good luck and please be careful.

Your 24" barrel is way to short to get the kind of velocity you are talking about with any type of sane load. Your best bet is trying the 123 grain lapua ( as has been mentioned) or the 120 grain Berger. Those are probably the only chance you have of getting close to your 3,000 fps "I Think" and I am not sure they will make it.

A far better approach might be to look for an Accurate Load and let the Velocity be what is going to be.

I read, posted on this site that the 120@3K will beat the 140( at whatever they got) for both elev and windage
@ a thousand yards. Got the vel but did not get the accuracy seated hard in the lands. will try (also).010" and .020" off
