6.5 Creedmoor, quickload help needed

The loading manuals I have looked in do not include the powders that I am able to use at the moment due to shortage of availability.

I am looking for load data with 100gr HPBT/ 107gr HPBT/ & 120grbullets in a 6.5 Creedmoor. Here are the specs of the gun and components.

rifle type: bolt action
Barrel: 1-8”, 26” length
Cartridge OAL: 2.770”
Brass: hornady, large primer
Primer: PMC/Tula

What powders do you want to use?

Hodgdon's reloading website lists a few loads. Select the "Rifle" section, the 6.5mm Creedmoor caliber, then filter for the bullet weights and powders you might be interested in.

Vihtavuori's load website also has several load options for use of Vihta powders with the 108gr and 120gr bullets (among others).

Barnes Bullets' load website also has a variety of load recipes listed, at least for the 120gr.

That can get you started.

Hodgdon recommends H414 for the bullets you are using with a starting load of 40.0 gr for the 100gr and 107gr bullets. for the 120 gr about the same. h4831sc is a little slow for those bullets. see the above post for the hodgdon link.

I find it odd that H4831sc works extremely well in 6XC an is not mentioned in the loading manuals for 6.5 Creedmoor (I.e. 6.5 XC).

6XC is more overbore than 6.5 Creedmoor and can use slower powders more effectively.

Sierra lists H4831 but only for heavier bullets.

^^^^^ +1 I played around on Quickload briefly and as stated above, H414 burn rate looks good but H4831sc is too slow for those bullet weights in that case.
