6.5 creedmoor primers

With all the mention of the many powders available for the creedmoor, I cannot find a primer test on this round.
Have you guys tested the large rifle magnum primer against the regular large rifle primer?
It seems to me with powders like superformance, rl17, rl26 and h4831 that a magnum primer could lower the extreme velocity spreads.

Hornady spent a truck load of money testing powder and primers before releasing this cartridge. They settled on H4350 and I don’t remember which primer, but I think it was listed on the loaded ammo box.
I’ve been loading it for 10 years and shoot 210m and H4350 into little knot holes.

I did...with both LR and SR primer cases. I used Wolf LR/LRM, S&B LR and CCI BR2/250 in LR cases and BR2's had the best precision loads and lowest SD's using a Bob C. 141.5gr.. In tests in the SR primed case, Wolf SRM's worked out best with the same bullet. This was with a 26" barrel. I don't know if this can be applied to any set-up but my own. I was using a Ruger Prec. Rifle and H4350 powder.

My experience with Hornady and Nosler brass is that CCI BR-2 primers gave me slightly better performance than Federal LR Match primers in my rifle. YMMV. The original Hornady spec was fore the Federal Match primer.

I've run relatively heavy charges of IMR 4451 with CCI 400, 450, BR4, and Federal SR primers in Lapua brass - no issues. Also, no issues with CCI 200s in Hornady brass - I don't have any other LR primers to try out right now. But, I've run loads with 4451, H4350, and RL-26 w/ the 200s in Hornady brass.
