6.5 Creedmoor, Great cartridge!

Hey guys I just wanted to let you guys know I bought a Savage Model 10 Predator Advantage Max-1 chambered in the 6.5 Creedmoor. This rifle only has a 24" barrel but with initial load development I am getting 2850 fps with the 140 grain bullets using around 42 grains of H4350 and this load is not showing any pressure signs at all and it is consistently hitting with 1/4" groups with the Amax, Berger VLD's, and the 139 grain Scenar's and I haven't even started playing with seating depth yet, I have just been keeping COL at 2.800" and can seat out a little further. I am going to play around with the 130 grain VLD's next and see what velocities I can run with it. But just wanted to let you know that so far everything is working out well with this cartridge. I have read reports about brass being to soft but I have not experienced this at all and think it has been taken care of as I have a couple of batches I have put 3 shots through and pockets are still holding primers, lol. The cases look almost like Lapua brass now as it comes annealed, I doubt it is as hard as lapua brass though, nothing else is.

I`m fixin to put together a rifle in this cartridge and was wondering what the neck diameter on a loaded round is. Thanks in advance.

Measuring mine with a caliper I am getting a neck diameter of .290" with factory and reloaded rounds. I don't have a bushing seater, just the regular 2 set die set.
