6.5 creedmoor brass difference ??

i have been shooting my 6.5 creedmoor using Hornady brass with good results, i hear that Lapua brass is better, it may be, but i loaded up some lapua brass and off to the range, i know the capacity is smaller, but i normally run 41.8 grs of H4350, i tried 41.8 and 41.5 with a 450 primer and the groups opened to around 1 1/2" at 100yds vs the hornady load which is around 1/2". looking for some ideas to try to see if i can get lapua brass to work

Yep, you've changed the relationship between case volume and powder.

Redo your charge weight testing to match your old velocity and should be good to go.

Lapua brass always shoots better for me the second time around.

I switched brands of brass midstream on my 6 SLR, went form Win to Rem brand, tried the reduced capacity thing and mimicked the speed of the original load. At 500 yards nothing was evident, by 700 things started falling apart, 800 total wreck.
Took the long way around after giving original brass away, ended up rebuying Win brand and back to normal, my suggestion is start from scratch with new brass.

How do you know the capacity is smaller? How much if you did test.
