6.5 creedmoor and Sierra 130 gr. GameKings?

I was wondering if anyone has used these for Whitetail Deer?

Do they work good, if so what would be a good load?

Thanks,
JR1968.

I won't use them again I shot 2 deer, one doe drilled a pencil hole and never saw a drop of blood 150yrd shot. 2 250yrds perfect placement again no expansion Gun 6.5-284 so it was hustling 2950-3000fps. I switched to bergers and they flatten deer

Not a creedmoor but my daughter has been shooting the Sierra 120gr Pro Hunter for years from her 260 rem and it's performance on deer has been excellent for her.

Guybo,

I thought about the 120's, because I'am partial to Sierra.

How fast are you running them out of the 260? Or haven't you chornoy's them?
If not can you give me load data. So I get a velocity window.

Thank You,
JR1968.

JR, I haven't shot it through the chrony, book says 2960 but that's just the book. Her load is max and is ...... 46.5 grs H4350, Lapua Brass, CCI 200, and is seated 0.010 off the lands in her rifle. This load is very accurate and consistent in her rifle and she's been using this combination for about 6yrs now with excellent results. It has proven to be pure deer poison around here.

I used the 130gr Sierra GKHP bullet this year out of a 6.5x47L (virtually the same speed/ballistics as 6.5Creed). I had problems with blood trails to: there wasn't any. But I guess that's mostly because the deer went straight down. Actually killed several deer with them (in our very liberal NC season) and never had anything but great performance. Including two pretty big body deer (at least for our area) as well as several does. Sending the 130 Sierra their way was like dropping cars on them...

Funny how different people have different results... The only negative I see to the 130 Sierra HPBT is the low BC verses other bullets in it's weight class. But for typical deer hunting ranges; I would use without worry.
