6.5 Creed to 6.5-284

Last November I bought a Savage model 12 in 6.5 Creedmoor. Haven't even shot it. Is my thinking correct that I can use the same bolt from the Creed for the 6.5-284? Have been thinking about a 284 for a few years and thought I just might use the Savage if there are no modifications needed on the bolt. Would be used as a single shot, (for shooting at faraway, shiny rocks) so bolt length would not really matter.

The 6.5-284 Norma is an excellent cartridge. Be aware that you will probably have to pull the bolt out to remove a loaded round.
