What type accuracy you getting with both the Sierra and Bergers? Any velocity difference? These Hybrids shot good. But no better than 142 SMK. A good shooter may see a difference, but I couldn't on target. Although they did seat smoother.
Thanks.5 MOA at 100
.8 MOA at 1000
Velocity was almost identical. I switched to Sierra.
Worked up a load for a shooting buddy of mine awhile back and it feel together like white on rice.Would like to hear from some shooters using this combo. Pros and cons
Thanks
I normally load H 4350 42.3 gr, but today I loaded,Would like to hear from some shooters using this combo. Pros and cons

Why did you go go to 4831 sc?I normally load H 4350 42.3 gr, but today I loaded,
lapua brass , berger hyb 144 gr , H 4831 SC 43.4 gr and Fed 210m
seated @ 2.194 I will report back after my next range session
wboggsWhy did you go go to 4831 sc?
Can you see changing from h4350 to the VV series? If so, which for 140-144 bullets?wboggs
my go to loads for the 6.5 CreedM are H 4350, 44 gr with berger 130 gr and
VV 555 , 43.6 gr with berger vld both loads are very accurate.
I chose the 4831 SC due to some old load data it falls in between the VV 555 and 560 which are two of the powder I use with 120 gr to 156 gr bullets.

R16 is difficult for me to find, what is your best second choce?I've been shooting them for some time now using 41.5 grs of RL16 in Peterson brass. They shoot to the same point of aim as 42.3 grs. of RL 16 with 147 gr. ELD bullets using Hornady brass. These are maximum loads for my rifle. They shoot great at 1000 yards at least the same size of groups you are getting now, I would assume. They like some jump so don't worry about trying to get them 15 or 20 off.
The only other powder I like that they still make is IMR 4350.R16 is difficult for me to find, what is your best second choce?
That is a surprise. I have used H4350 but not IMR. It is easy to get but I wonder why you favor it?The only other powder I like that they still make is IMR 4350.
I have always used it for the 30-06 and have plenty of it. So when I started shooting the 6.5 Creedmoor and it was also a good powder for it I tried it and was able to shoot one hole groups at 100 yards so I see no reason to switch. Plus like you said " it's easy to get". Then the guys I shoot with showed what advantages RL16 powder has at 1000 yards so I started using the RL16 for longer ranges for the extra velocity it offers over IMR 4350. But 4350 is still more accurate if the wind is not relevant. MY 6.5 Creedmoor has a 27" 3 groove Pac-Nor long shank heavy varmint barrel in a XLR Pro Envy chassis. I don't know if that matters but it works. That is a surprise. I have used H4350 but not IMR. It is easy to get but I wonder why you favor it?
