The brass that i have is Peterson and Lapua small primer pocket.
I use both a digital and balance scale. I started with just the digital and it would tare 124.2gr for the tray i would weigh my charge and the tare would be 124.9. It does vary on how much it will be off. I believe it is drifting while trickling. Its more consistant when the charge is weighed more rapidly. So i weigh the charge 1gr to the target charge weight and finish with the mechanical scale. I have been impatiantly waiting to purchase a RCBS chargemaster. With ES & SD numbers like that , how are you weighing your powder charges?
I do not. I keep the brass in their own boxes and do development separatelyYou're not mixing the brass and shooting it as the same stuff, are you? I don't know about 6.5CM, but Peterson 6BR is heavier than Lapua 6BR, meaning case capacities (and resulting pressure from a given charge) are going to be different.
Consistency is pretty important in reloading, and minimizing variables aids in that.
