Just finished my wife's 6.5AAR rifle yesterday. RHB xm length Hell Betty with nitride finish, Bart 2B 8 twist fluted barrel finished at 24", TTech Field trigger, McMillian stock with 12" LOP and Snowy Mountain bottom metal. I speced out the JGS reamer with 257R AI dimensions so the Redding dies should match the cases nicely. Haven't weighed it yet but I plan to this week. Going to load up some fireform loads so she can start practicing with it as soon as I get the little Leupold 30mm 4.5-14x50 scope mounted on it. Waiting for some Talley rings.

6.8 pounds as is. Hopefully the Talley rings get here tomorrow and I can get the scope on it and weigh it on a better scale. Anxious to make it go bang!!!!

So far my wife has fireformed 36 cases. I definetely would not want her shooting at me with this rifle!!! I set up her sizing die last night. Shoulders are still a little bit rounded but bumped the shoulders back .003". I might back down to 120 grain bullets to reduce the recoil with full power handloads.

What powder are you forming with? I found imr 4895 to be the best I'm my 257ai and 6mm ai as well. Sharp corners first time. I use a max load for standard case
