6.5-284

hey, im new to this form and i enjoy shooting. infact i want to take my game out to a 1000 yards i am thinking the 6.5-284 and was just wondering if this will be suficent...let me know what you think about this round pros and cons and if you can think of another round that would be better for BR at 1000 yards...thanks

couldnt be a better choice

when recoil, barrel life, and performance are most important, the 6.5-284 wins--throw a 142SMK atop h4350 in a lapua case and you will be ready to run.

next would probably be the 300WSM/7WSM, but there the barrel life and recoil suffers

a 6br is geat if you are fairly good at reading wind, and it surely excels in all three aspects.

6XC is also a possibility that will be tested at williamsport this year by one of our top shooters.
