6.5-284 win &h4831sc

Does anyone out there have any loading ideas for 6.5-284 with hodgdon 4831sc powder and 139 grain scenars. Also can anyone help me with neck trimming and bushing size. Neck dimension is .286.

I can say this has been my standard powder for the 6.5X284. If doesnt shoot well with this powder I think there is something wrong.

The Three bullets I use are 140gr JLK's 142gr MatchKings and the 140 Berger. I have not used the Lapua bullet. Generally the four barrels I have used it in have been from 51-54grains of 4831SC I have also had good luck with N560. For some reason I have not had any luck with H4350, this is very odd as it seem's that every one else has been doing very well with it.

My reamer is a 294 NK so I have to turn necks a little, I run a 292 nk bushing or None at all if i feed into the lands a little.

My first barrel I used a 297 nk and it shot just as well it turns out. That is once I got rid of the Hornady brass.

First off, are you sure on the neck dimension?
.286 seems thin. Mine's .290 & use a .286 bushing.
I've tried at least 9 or 10 different powders suitable for this case, but just shoot the same load of H-4831SC in 5 different barrels with Sierra's or Bergers.
Find a suitable load, and spend your extra time and barrel life on bench technique and wind reading skills.
