pert near same as 6.5-244rem AI

numbers thru QL using 244 mashburn with 130VLD
3100fps @ 56K psi = 21.25 MOA drop, drift @10mph 5.5MOA @ 1k,

56K psi will certainly improve barrel life, long neck and low flame pressure

OAL used was 2.900, easy fit for a modded DBM on a short action

any reamer info etc

Check the availability of 6.5-257 AI reamers with PTG or JGS, performances of those 2 wildcats are extremely similar and dies must have been available at Redding's or RCBS...

3100 fps are definitely possible with 130 vld's and N560 or Re22.

The 6.5x57 is more of a European cartridge but belongs to the .244, .257, 7x57 family. Probably a long shot but check for a 6.5x57 AI reamer.

The latest Hornady reloading manual shows loads for the regular 6.5x57, 2800 fps with 129s and IMR 4831. So multiply 2800 by the AI factor and you are close to 3000 fps.
