6-47L load data

Guys,

I got my new 6-47. It has a 1 and 8 twist 28inch barrel. I bought some R17 can some one give me a good starting load or a pet load.

What type action? What bullet weight? What neck diameter of brass? All of these questions will somewhat determine a possible starting point for R-17.

I have a single shot surgon action. I want to shoot the 105 to 107 grain bullets. The neck is no turn.

I would start with 38.0 and go from there with the 105's and up....
I settled on 40.0 with my BAT/Krieger and the 108 Bergers...............

I'm shooting 39.2 grains R-17 behind a 115.It's warm load but no sticky bolt.

I have a Rem. 6x47 Lapua that shoots in the .5-.6" range at 100 yards with 38.6 Gr. RL. 17 and a bullet. It shoots this load with 95 Gr. Berger,107 Gr Sierria, 115 Gr berger. It has shot 3/4" groups at 300 yds and under 3" at 600 with both the 107's and the 115 Gr. bullets. It is very clean burning powder with little fowling. I ran into pressure with 4350 loads that were not near the velocity of the Rl. 17 loads. Just my experiance. Tom
