5r Milspec 300 win mag

I got a great deal on a 700 5r milspec 300wm first gen black and green HS precision stock, Stainless threaded 24". Its short for a 300wm, I run 26" on my other 300wm.

I'm going to bed with MarineTex, I usually use Devcon 10110.
I'm going to install a wyatt's mbe-2 mag box. It will wear a MBM 4 port Beast brake. I am installing a Rifle Basix lv-1k 8oz trigger right away! Also trying something new, an Athlon 4.5-27 scope.

I'll probably be loading 200.20x with H1000, Retumbo, n570 or even RL26.

Anyone else been around or have one of these 5r milspec??

I bought one several years ago. Very accurate with a number of bullets. I've seen no need to go beyond two powders, H4350 and H4831, and CCI-250 primers. Except for a Nightforce 3x-10x SHV scope, my rifle is straight-out-of-the box, no adjustments, modifications, etc.

I have a Gen2 5R in 260Rem, stock but with a TT trigger. Nikon Black 6-24 scope. With factory ammo, easily under an inch (guy I purchased it from whacked a coyote at 500 yds with factory ammo). Haven't loaded for it yet. Been thinking about putting it up for sale to build something.

46and2, I have one of the first Gen 5R 300WM's. I also have the 223, & 308 version. The 223, & 308 were pretty easy to find good loads for. That being said, I've spent way less time & effort on the 300. I did have my barrel threaded & installed a brake. I'm also planning on bedding the action into the stock. Hopefully this year, I'll be able to spend more time with it, & find a good combination of bullets & powder for it!!! Keep us posted with your efforts!!!! Idaho-45

I have the scope, marine tex, rings and brake. Waiting on base, wyatt magazine, scope level and rifle to arrive.

I have two other new 300win mags I have needed to finish load development on but my range has been down for two months!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And cant get anyone to get me into their range as a visitor, very depressing.
