Thanks, i get a lot of practice hunting ground hogs and prairie dogs.
Back in the day when I was a much younger man and of limited financial resources, I was a one gun hunter, a 243 Win, Model 70. I hunted groundhogs, foxes (in those days there was a bounty on them, so I guess I was a bounty hunter o_O) and eastern white tail deer.

The varmint and predator hunting produce so much confidence in me and my rifle that I was well prepared for deer season and with few exceptions, very successful.

Yea when you know your rifle and plenty of practice gives you confidence. I hunted groundhog for 40 years and the last few years i've been going on prairie dog hunts. Thos little guys ate the size of a coke can, when you can hit them reliable Deer are an easy target LOL

There is a explanation for this. In my case I can't walk ( a little present from Polio) so I can't get in the woods so i hunt from a shack over a big row crop field and have to make longish shots.
I work with a group called Missouri Disabled Sportsmen. We have several track chairs and put on quite a few hunts across the state. We have deer hunts, turkey hunts, rabbit hunts, goose hunts, fishing trips, etc. We have a lot of information on Facebook if you are interested.
