I walked into my local gun store a while back and noticed a rifle stuck back in a corner. The bottom half of the rifle was white. I asked about it and was told that someone had literally stirred a 5 gallon bucket of white paint with it! I asked if it was for sale and offered $50 for it, they accepted. I was looking for a project. Should have taken before pictures, didn't think of it. When I got it home, I completely disassembled the rifle. Every screw, every spring... complete 100% disassembly! Stripped off the paint and refinished what turned out to be a very nice walnut stock. Cleaned up all the metal and was surprised to find all kinds of sand in the rifle. Put it all back together, cleaned up and remounted the period correct 4x fine cross hair scope that was on it and headed up to the range to see how it shoots. After sighting it in I got as serious as I can get and shot 50 rounds of CCI sub-sonic (my hope was to use it for a squirrel rifle) at 50 yards off of a rest. Very happy to say all 50 rounds were within a 1" circle! Next time up to the range I'll take pictures of the target. I now have one of these new fangled phones that can take pictures! LOL! I've used it for squirrels ever since!
