The original Mil Spec load(penetrator core bullet) will penetrate a kevlar vest. The commercial load is for small game/varmits (Vmax or OTM) style.

You can also find this cartridge chambered in the Savage Arms model 25LV-T with a 24" barrel and 1:9 twist. Also the model 25 Walking Varminter with a 22" barrel. I have not shot the pistol but I did shoot the AR upper conversion with a 16" barrel, very accurate at 100 yards. Hope this helps.
