Anyone reloading for this caliber?

Any l do will be in the S&W MP 5.7 pistol.

There are some who do reload the 5.7x28. Do a Search here on forum For details.

Summary of Challenges:
1) Tiny case that is PITA to hold/manipulate around are reloading press.
2) Case walls are thin … neck is prone to splitting during firing and reloading.
3) Protective coating on outside of FN cases (dry lubrication) gets stripped away when brass is tumbled clean.

The coating facilitates smooth feeding/extraction from semi-auto rifles, such as FN P90. The coating ensures reliability while firing full auto. Not sure if other manufacturers are also using this coating on their cases. Coating is probably less significant when firing through pistol … how fast is your trigger finger?!

Not full auto fast, my personal cyclic rate is built into a 66 year old nervous system.

I reload for my Banshee. 40 grain Vmax, 6.5 grains of AA#7, 7.0 grains with a 35 Vmax, CCI 400. Lee dies, slight crimp. COL matches factory.

No issues so far and accuracy outstanding, especially with the 35's.

If you want to try something different I am shooting 63gr Sierra soft points using 3.5gr of Promo shotgun powder at around 1300 fps and 69gr. Sierra MK over 2.9gr Promo and they are subsonic. I load them to 1.59 COAL. The brass doesn't fly as far as the lighter 35gr VMax do. I am looking at getting a different spring for my S&W MP 5.7 to help with this.
