5.5" long indicator stem

Does anybody have an extra 5.5" long indicator stem laying around for a interapid indicator. My stem fell on the floor and the ball fell off. Long Island Indicators is on vacation for the next month. Id be willing to pay someone way more than what they paid for it. Any help is GREATLY appreciated.

Not to rain on the parade even further but a few months back when i tried to order another one they told me there are no more long stems available. I think 2.5” is as long as you can get now their stock is out. I hope i just got the wrong person on the phone and that info is bad. Let us know.

5.5"? Maybe you mean 2.75"? MSC and penntool carries them. I've seen them on eBay too. It's pretty common...I'd imagine someone carries them...

Ya. 5.5" Its nice that I can hit the throat on the long stuff and go an inch past it.

Ill have to see about ordering some other tips with carbide balls then. I might be able to remove them and attach them to my stem. Ive searched for 2 hours for that damn ball and cant find it LOL. ​

You need to recite the St. Anthony prayer, To whit:

Hmm...never saw a 5.5". Is the indicator specially made for it?

if all else fails you could silver braze a small bearing ball to the end

I have a couple backup 2.813
I can't remember what i payed for them but if interested maybe we can work something out?
I think all mine are the 2.813 I beleave

I got mine through msc recently.
I would like to find some with the .118
ball

Yep Im gonna try soldering a little ball onto the end. It should should work out just fine. Definitely have to make it work since the 5.5" long ones are no longer available. The 2.75 I have doesn't go in far enough for the longer cartridges.

You could use a long straight one for a co-ax spinning indicator, cut the end off, and thread it to fit the Interapid or weld/braze/solder it to a shorter one.
