I can't say from experience with socom but c products have preformed well in 6.8 and 308 for me, just a starting point for research saw them listed at jobob outfiters but no reveiws but have worked in other non 5.56 for me.

I built mine from a Wilson Combat barrel kit. They recommend the Lancer metal lip mags. However, I have used, Pmag, C-products SS, and even GI aluminum mags have all worked great with mine.

thanks i tried some cheap mags i had from who knows where and one of four worked good it might have been the speer hps but well see

I have also tried many different bullets. 300 flat point from sierra, 325 flex tip from hornady, 300 BTip from nosler, 400 FP from speer and 500 round nose from hornady. Maybe I'm using up all my luck, but I could run all of them in one mag and everything would cycle. You could check your mag lip openings compared to a new mag. If the top of the mag is bulged or pinched, it will release the cartridge early or late, screwing up the feeding.
