Hey Fellers, I need a little help, got a grandson wanting a Rossi carbine in a 454 Casull. Don't have dies or brass for it but have plenty of 45 Colt stuff as I load for a carbine and a single shot rifle that I use. Best I can tell looking at the cartridge print it's just a longer 45 Colt. Like a 38 spec vs a 357 mag. Anybody out there actually own a Rossi 454 Casull that can tell me if the carbine will feed and run the 45 Colt cartridge? I presently run some Montana cast heavies that I use in my Colt's that I have to crimp in the second crimping groove and it would be easy to make the cases 1/8" longer which is the only difference I can find between the two.... anyone have any first hand knowledge that they are willing to share.... thanks John
