Reviving this. I
AM building a 450 Bushmaster using a Savage 12 action, a Rhineland Arms barrel with a 4 port brake screwed on the end, and a take-off Savage laminate stock. It will be topped with a Nikon Buckmaster 4.5-14X40 SF BDC scope. It should be a very capable deer (possibly hog) slayer.
Again I ask, has anyone else built a 450 Bushmaster on a Savage action using a DBM set up/stock, and if so, what modifications, if any, did you have to do to get the 450 rounds to feed well out of a magazine? I plan on using a Savage 243/308 magazine as the 450 rounds fit well in the magazine but looks like they might catch on the front lip of them coming out.
Any help or insight with the potential magazine problems appreciated.
