444 loads

Decided that I was going to sight I my stainless pre safety marlin in 444.I have been sitting on several pounds of aa2230C powder.and was I surprised loaded 53 54 55 grains with 240gr sp 53 did well 54 was OK 55 was one hole at 60 yards.I'm still in shock with that powder did very well in 223.and 308 would have never thought shoot like that In a 444.Steve

H322 & H4198 works well in mine

Mine does have a safety but I bought it in the 90's. I also have had good luck with H4198 and Hornaday 240gr XTP's.

Whatever works in a mid-weight bullet for a .308/.223 should do well in the .444. Mine loved IMR4895.

/me kicks self in the jewels for letting that rifle go... that was a really stupid thing to do.
