44 Magnum Carbide Dies.

Looking for some guidance from someone well versed in carbide dies, specifically dies for a 44 Magnum, I don't want to purchase the wrong ones. Need help on deciding which die set to purchase.

RCBS carbide set. Ran mine for years and looked like they were new.

RCBS dies have always worked for me. I have 45 Colt, 44 Mag, 357 Maximum, 357/38, and 9mm in carbide full length dies and all my neck size dies are also carbide.

One thing to consider.....loading cast boolits ? If so.......

take a look at the RCBS Cowboy dies.......or.......

Lyman 'M' series expander die set.......has a two stage expanding step system.....

also......you can buy cast boolits 'oversize' IE...... .433" opposed to .430"

Some Marlin rifles favor fat cast boolits......Dardas Boolits is a good choice......

They also offer a cast ball to 'slug' your barrel's diameter.....

yes.........be sure to buy carbide dies......your 44 a handgun or rifle ? Cast boolits are alot

less expensive for just plinkin'.......powders like Trailboss..Universal...Titegroup work well.....

Full nuts loads work best with W296/H110.....4227......LilGun......

That is true. Have you ever used lube on carbide dies? It is so smooth it is just like running the handle up and down without a casing.

No,never saw the need plus it saved me from having to wipe lube off the cases.

God, they all work and work well.
Here is what I have found:
If you want to size down the furthest on the case, get Hornady or Lee.
If you want a bit easier sizing, get Hornady or Redding.
Seating dies: if you use lead, and your bullets are sloppy with lube, you might want Dillon or Hornady, as you can disassemble them for cleaning with removing the die body from the press.
Lee can make custom seating stems inexpensively and they work well.
For roll crimping, you want Redding Profile Crimp Dies, only. Accept no substitutes.
All in all, Lee is pretty much my first choice for dies.

Wipe lube off of your cases? Do you not use the stainless steel pins? I do use lube when working 9mm. Yes I do the resizing separate. Yes do shoot that much 9mm.
