Do people find N105 needs a Large Pistol Magnum Primer?

Because N-105 is a slow pistol powder. Using the large pistol magnum primer is best.

I'm looking for a non-lead hunting load for a 44 mag lever action. Barnes bullets have been difficult to find where I am (UK) so I have got 2 bullets from the South African company Peregrine using 180gr Hog bullets and 205gr VRG3 bullets.

Left - 180gr Hog
Centre - 240gr Nosler JSP for comparison
Right - 205gr VRG

Have loaded up a 0.1gr increment ladder from 18.7gr to 19.3gr of with PPU brass and Federal 155M primers and a light Lee Factory Crimp Die crimp on the front recess.

(Load based on a read across from Viht's N105 Data for the Hornady 180gr XTP. As the Peregrine Hog is a bit longer I scaled the minimum back a touch).

I've also run the file through Gordon's Reloading Tool and happy to share the file with you if you would like it.

Also, question for you as I'm relatively new to straight wall cartridge reloading: What is the closest powder Viht makes to Hodgdon Lil'gun?
