OK so you're stuck between a rock and a hard place it would seem depending on the definition of what really is a shotgun with a rifled barrel.
When you consider the accuracy that can be achieved with rifled slugs that could be the simplest solution providing your ranges aren't excessive.

When I think about all the deer I've taken under 50yds...................closest was just 4 and taken with a hip shot from a 308 !

As someone who loads alot of shotshells , I can tell you to get published data and stay with it.... That means the exact wad , primer , hull and powder that the recipe calls for... Shotgun is a low pressure weapon and a simple primer change can add enough pressure to get you in trouble... Even crimp depth can add pressure...

With things hard to find we have switched primers because we can't get Winchester shotgun primers and we did ALOT of cronograph , inspection and plain old work to come up with it so we could continue to compete and or shoot skeet/trap during this covid crap... I am also talking about mostly low power 1oz skeet loads definitely not slugs or buckshot...Just be careful...
