40XB Rangemaster in 6br

Hello,

I'm new to this forum and would appreciate some feedback on the Remington 40xb Rangemaster in 6BR
The rifle I am looking at is a 14 twist with a .272 neck dia & a 27" barrel. I am a bit concerned that a 14 twist would be a bit slow but as I said i am new to 6BR and would like your thoughts on this rifle before I make the purchase. I will be shooting this at 100 and 200 yards.

Thank you
Roy.

My 6mmBr has a 14 twist barrel as well and I couldn't be happier with it. My primary competition shooting is 100 and 200 yard Benchrest, 68 gr Bergers and the new Berger Column bullets, or any of the customs are all very accurate.
Our club has a 600 yard range and though I don't compete at that distance, I do shoot it for fun. My last trip out, shooting 70 gr SMK's resulted in two in the nine ring and 18 tens. Not bad for a slow twist barrel.

I agree with Andy about the 14 twist in 6BR. Add the Bart ultra 68g bullet. The 6BR in 14 twist will shoot almost as well or in my situation as good as a 6PPC.
Buy the rifle!
Good luck shooting.
