What I have here is a project rifle I bought from Kelbly's quite a few years ago. I bought it because how hard it is to come across a true Left-Handed 40X single shot receiver. When I purchased it, it came with the McM stock shown and it had a 6BR barrel marked Bob White on the shank. I pulled the barrel, noticed the last thread in the action was partially wiped out (tried to show it in the pic). So, I decided to dial the action in and trued it up. Threads opened to 1.080", lug abutments and face trued too.
I have the original bolt body with Sako extractor, .473" BF, I don't know who installed the Sako extractor. Instead of using that bolt I fitted a new PTG bolt and Dan from Accu-tig welded a straight handle on, timed to the action. The PTG bolt has .473" BF and groove for a Remington extractor.
The stock came how you see it, I have done nothing to it. No recoil pad, drilled out in back for weight, of some sort obviously.
No fire control systems for either bolt, and no handle for the original bolt body.
This has been here sitting for years and I do not have the time for it.
