40X 22lr receiver

Are 22lr 40X receivers the same as a regular 40X,(center fire),except for bolt? nilebartram

A 40x rim fire bolt has the recoil lugs on the rear of the bolt. Rim fire actions have the rear cut for the lugs.

One rim fire gunsmith use to convert XP100's to rim fire using a 40X bolts.

The 40X rimfire receivers will fit the same stock at the Remington 700 SA. I have 40X smallbore stuffed into an Eliseo R1 and set up identically as the Palma rifle.

The rear lug bolt and the hole and screw in the bottom of the action for the ejector. Otherwise they use the same triggers and inlet as a R700.

In a former life mine belonged to a BR shooter. It doesn't use a recoil lug.
