There were 39 guns at St Thomas PA’s July 1 weekly Tuesday Groundhog 200, 300, & 400 yard Fun Shoot. A nice surprise since the Tuesday after a weekend match is usually a smaller crowd. All shooters were shooting for first through third prize money in each of the 3 classes and the $100 bonus for a Tuesday perfect score. Looked like over a dozen people were also shooting in the winner takes all 5 shot 400 yard group size too. And a reminder that you still have time to make the 12 shoots necessary to qualify for the year end Tuesday class aggregates.
St Thomas also has 3 Saturday shoots and the Championships left. Even if you don’t make the 4 Saturday shoots necessary for year end aggs there’s still the $300 for the first Saturday perfect score or $250 for the high score shot on Saturdays this year in each class to aim for, plus the regular first through third payouts in each class.
So, take off of work or take your pension and join us. Bring along a kid. There’ve been 4 or 5 juniors shooting free the last few shoot. No time limits on Tuesdays.
