.38 Special RCBS Die set to use in Dillon

I have a set of RCBS dies that are carbide. The three die set has the de prime punch in the second die, which also bells the mouth. The carbide die is threaded, How can I get a rod to fit that die to use in the Dillon?

Not interchangeable between the two dies? Thats surprising. You can likely order a decapping rod and pin keeper, with a pin or two from Midway, assuming the sizer uses a standard RCBS decapping rod.

Alternatively, a call to RCBS may have them simply mail you one. Doesn't hurt much to try.

Centershot,

You won't need the belling die, the Dillon powder funnel will bell the mouth. You cannot remove the rod from the belling die and use it in the sizing die?

Another alternative is to use a decapping die or decap by hand before running through the press. I've found not using the Dillon priming system and priming by hand is more consistent than the Dillon priming tools.

Sounds like he has an older RCBS set that was made where the decapper was part of the expander die. Call RCBS and see if you can get the parts needed for the size die. As said, you won't need the expander die as the expander is part of the powder measure

Can not just order a decapping rod. It would need a collet nut to hold the rod like a Lee decapping die. Send RCBS an email.
